3.10.2023, Shanghai — Pergam China, a specialist in airborne gas leak detection, has successfully completed an aerial survey of a 630-kilometer section of the Russia-China gas transmission pipeline. The inspections, carried out on September 28 and September 30, utilized an S76C++ helicopter, facilitated by the China General Aviation Corporation.
This segment of the pipeline, operational since 2019, is a key component of the strategic energy collaboration between Russia and China. The pipeline features a 1422mm diameter, constructed with X80 steel, designed to withstand pressures of up to 12 MPa.
Under PipeChina North’s mandate, Pergam China is scheduled to undertake another airborne service task by June 2024. Such initiatives are crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of critical energy infrastructure operations.
